Performance Anxiety
Whether you are new to performing or not most of us experience some form of performance anxiety. There are strategies available to us to guide us through the lead up to a performance.

Performance anxiety, or 'stage fright', does not necessarily only occur when you perform live music, and it may not only present as 'butterflies in the stomach'. Perhaps you are unable to control your bodies fight or flight response when you are in a formal recital situation, or perhaps you experience some form of stress when you perform online, or when you speak in front of an audience. Understanding your performance anxiety and finding what strategies may work for you could have enormous benefits!

As someone who has been performing for over 16 years, in a variety of ensembles, in front a wide variety of audiences, I can offer you the practices I have adopted, including those that have scientific evidence behind them.
